HBO Max is a standalone streaming service from HBO that offers the same content as other HBO platforms but at a lower price. The service costs $15 per month and includes all of the original programming from HBO along with access to movies and TV shows from other networks.
The first step in signing up for an account with HBO Max is entering in your six-digit code (this can be found on packages or promotional material). Once you’ve done this, you’ll be able to sign up through the app by clicking “Sign In” at the bottom of the screen. You’ll then need to enter your email address — there are no spaces allowed here — followed by your password (which should also be without spaces).
The HBO Max app on TV lets you stream all of your favorite shows and movies from HBO, FX, and other channels. It also allows you to access the full library of HBO original series, including Game of Thrones, Westworld, and more.
To get started with the app on TV:
1) Make sure that your TV has an HDMI port or a USB port (the latter is preferred). If not, please see our article about connecting Roku to TVs without HDMI ports.
2) Plug in your Roku Streaming Stick into one of these ports and turn it on. You may need to change some settings depending on where you place your device — for example if it’s too far away from where you sit while watching TV then adjust its position accordingly so that there’s no interference between WiFi signal strength & distance (see point #3 below).
3) Open up the Settings menu from within the Roku app and go through each option until you see an option called “Wifi” near the bottom
If you’re new to HBO Max, there are several ways to sign up for an account and get access to the service.
You can:
Sign up online at hbomax.com/new-user-signup/. You’ll need a valid email address and credit card number, but no other personal information is required.
Call us at 1-855-GO-MAX or text “max” to 38383 (standard carrier charges may apply). The call will last between 5 and 10 minutes. Download the app on your phone or tablet and sign in with your 6-digit code (see below).
How to Sign in to HBO Max?
If you’re a subscriber of the channel, then it’s easy for you to sign in with your 6-digit code. But if you’re not a subscriber, then there are ways by which you can still get access to all the content that’s available on this platform. Here are some of them:
1) The first option is by subscribing to an existing cable TV service provider that supports HBO Max. This will allow you access to all the channels at no extra cost and without having any additional charges added to your bill. However, even though this seems like the easiest way of getting access, it might not be as convenient as others due to reasons such as poor customer support or technical issues related to equipment malfunctioning etc., which could lead to problems with accessing certain channels through this method
